Thoughts on Thanksgiving This Year

Thanksgiving in the United States is just a few days away, but it’s been on my mind for a while. I’ve got some mixed feelings about it, to be honest.

Thanksgiving would have fallen on my dad’s birthday this year. He passed a couple of years ago, and since his would be birthday is fast approaching, he’s on my mind.

Today was our family Thanksgiving, and we couldn’t go. My oldest son has been sick for a week, and he’s passed it on to me. My youngest son hasn’t felt the best either. I didn’t want to get anyone sick, so we stayed home, of course.

In stark opposition to the above, I’m so grateful for how peaceful and wonderful my life has been recently. I’m excited about several projects, and I’m really just enjoying my life right now.

The leaves changing are so beautiful right now.  Everywhere I look there’s a sea of yellow, orange, and red leaves.

My aloe plant and my spider plant have been growing more since I got them grow lights. (See, I don’t kill plants anymore!)

I hope we all feel better by Thanksgiving Day. We’re having BBQ and BBQ ribs this year and I’m looking forward to it.

I hope anyone reading this has a wonderful Thanksgivng.
