Gratitude

Tonight I’m filled with gratitude for everything God has provided.

Cold weather is approaching, and I’m in a warm home with adequate heating. We have food and proper clothing. We’re safe, and we’re warm.

I have a loving husband and children. I have family and friends who love and care for me.

I notice and give thanks for the beauty of the world around me, from the warmth of the sunrise to the frost tipped grass glimmering beneath a streetlight.

Most of all, I have God’s love and mercy, and I can hold onto his promises.

I am happy, and I’m so very grateful for all of these things that are part of my life and world. It’s funny how inadequate these words are to describe how I’m truly feeling tonight, how at peace I feel.

May peace find each of you.
