Time Person of the Year

Time Magazine’s 2025 Person of the Year was announced today, and the “Architects of AI” were selected.  I don’t really want to talk about this year’s selection right now, maybe not at all. What I do want to talk about are past winners.

Today I checked out the “Time Person of the Year” on Wikipedia. I took some time to scroll through the table containing the past winners, and I clicked on some of the articles to read.  It was an interesting look back at past people, groups of people, ideas, and even objects.

I don’t think Time always gets it right, and there certainly have been several controversies, but I don’t think that negates the importance of the body of work, the Time Person of the Year winners.  Whether you agree or disagree with selections, each selection tells you something important about that year in history, and I enjoyed looking back at them today.
