Why I Deleted My Blog Categories

About a week ago, I deleted my blog categories. I have been learning to use Obsidian, and one thing that stood out to me in a couple of videos I watched about it was.  It was suggested to focus on linking your notes rather than folder structure. “Make your notes earn their structure” is how it was said in one video, but I can’t remember which one.

I noticed that my blog categories were getting out of hand, and I wasn’t sure how to fix them, so I decided to delete all the categories and then let the posts form their own structure. At the end of my 100 Day Blog Challenge, I will evaluate the posts and then recreate the categories. For now, I’m going to focus on writing and using tags.  I’ll worry about the rest later.

What’s your blog category or Obsidian folder structure like?
