The Predictable Thanksgiving Post

Yes, this is going to be the traditional “I’m grateful for…” blog post, the predictable post that every blogger writes at some point on or near Thanksgiving. Either that will irk you, or that will delight you, and in either case, welcome!

***(Trigger Warning: Death of loved one)***

Today is a weird day. I’m in such a peacful place, feeling grateful for so many things. But also, today would have been my Dad’s birthday and I miss him. I mean it still is, but he’s not here, so it’s not the same as “yaaaaay, it’s my dad’s birthday!”. I love and miss you Daddy.

I’m most grateful for God, for everything he’s done in my life, for the work he’s still doing in me and others around me. I am in awe every day of the ways He loves me.

And I am so grateful for the people in my life. I love every one of you, past, present, and future, for everything you’ve done for me. Seriously, I love you.

I noticed when I was thinking about what I’m grateful for, so much comes to mind, that I just have to say that I have a grateful heart now. There’s good and bad that happens, but I’m just grateful, unconditionally. There’s this peace I can’t fully explain or comprehend that comes into the very fabric of your being when draw close to Jesus. I wish that for you all.

If you’re reading this, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day if you celebrate it, and if you don’t, I still hope you had the most magnificent day.
